Taplio’s cheapest plan is $39 a month and includes zero AI credits. You read that right. The thing everyone signs up for, the post generator, only turns on at the $65 to $69 Growth tier, and the lead database sits behind a $199 Pro plan.
So the real entry price for what Taplio markets is closer to $70, and that’s before you get to the part where its Chrome extension uses cookie-based authentication, which is the mechanism LinkedIn has been cracking down on since 2025.
That combination (expensive, LinkedIn-only, and a bit risky) is why so many people go looking for something else. Here are the seven I’d actually consider, ranked in the order I’d try them.

1. SchedPilot
The main reason to pick SchedPilot over Taplio is that almost nobody’s audience lives on one platform anymore. SchedPilot posts to LinkedIn, X, Instagram, TikTok, Threads, Facebook, Pinterest, Bluesky, YouTube and Reddit from one calendar. You write the LinkedIn version, cross-post it to X and Threads with the edits each one needs, and schedule the lot. Taplio can’t do any of that. It’s LinkedIn or nothing.
Everything connects through official APIs. No cookie scraping, no extension injecting scripts into linkedin.com, so the account-warning problem Taplio users complain about doesn’t apply here.
Pricing, billed yearly: Silver is $21 a month for 450 posts and 5 connected accounts. Gold is $35 for unlimited posts, 20 accounts, 5 workspaces, AI-generated posts, AI hooks, reply tools and 300 GPT-5 credits. Platinum ($49) bumps that to 40 accounts, a Chrome extension and 5,100 credits. Enterprise ($79) adds 10 team seats, an approval workflow and 100 accounts. Compare Gold at $35 against Taplio’s Growth at $69: half the price, four times as many accounts, and AI credits included rather than gated.
There’s also a $299 lifetime license capped at 100 seats, which is the option I’d take if I were an agency tired of watching subscriptions stack up. Every plan has a 7-day trial that charges $0 up front.
Where it loses to Taplio: the viral post library. Taplio has a searchable archive of millions of high-performing LinkedIn posts, and SchedPilot’s AI suggestions don’t replace scrolling through that for inspiration. Taplio’s lead database and auto-DM features also have no equivalent here. If LinkedIn outreach is your sales channel, SchedPilot is a scheduler, not a prospecting tool.
2. Supergrow
Supergrow is the tool most people on r/LinkedInTips point to when someone asks for a cheaper Taplio. It starts at $19 a month, AI writing included, which makes Taplio’s $39-with-no-AI plan look a little silly. The AI is trained on your voice from samples you feed it, and it does carousels, scheduling and analytics without any of the cookie-auth weirdness.
It’s LinkedIn only. If that’s fine, it’s probably the closest like-for-like Taplio replacement on this list. The higher tiers climb to $139 for teams, which is where the value gets thinner.
3. Kleo
Kleo has had a strange couple of years. It used to be the most popular free Chrome extension on LinkedIn, sitting inside the feed and surfacing top creators’ best posts, with somewhere north of 70,000 users. Then LinkedIn asked the team to take it down. What exists now is Kleo 3.0, a paid web app at $99 a month, or $999 a year. No free tier. No free trial, either, though annual subscribers get a 30-day money-back guarantee.
For the money you get unlimited AI post generation with a persistent voice profile, 160+ post templates, 200+ hook templates, a knowledge base you can upload your own material to, 20 AI graphics a month, scheduling, and weekly group coaching. That last part matters. Kleo is selling a personal-branding program with software attached, and its “Momentum” bundle throws in a four-week cohort and a 30-day posting challenge.
Is it better than Taplio? On writing quality, most reviews say yes. Kleo’s AI remembers what you sound like between sessions in a way Taplio’s doesn’t. On price, it’s worse than Taplio Growth and much worse than everything else here. And there’s no carousel builder, which is odd for a LinkedIn tool in 2026. Buy Kleo if you want coaching and viral-format content on a single account and $99 doesn’t bother you. Otherwise skip it.
4. AuthoredUp
AuthoredUp doesn’t generate posts at all, and I think that’s the point. At $19.95 a month it gives you a proper LinkedIn composer with formatting, multi-device previews, a hook library, drafts, and analytics that actually pull your full history. If you write your own posts and just hated Taplio’s editor, this is the one. Zero automation, so zero ToS anxiety.
5. MagicPost
MagicPost sits between $27 and $39 depending on the plan and its whole pitch is safety. Posting goes through LinkedIn’s official API, verified, which is why it keeps showing up in “safest Taplio alternative” threads. The AI works from a library of viral hooks and formats, so output is template-flavoured, but it’s fast and it won’t get you restricted. Decent video repurposing too.
6. Typefully
Typefully started as an X writing tool and still feels like one, but it does LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky and Mastodon now. There’s a free plan and paid starts around $12.50 a month. The editor is the cleanest of anything on this list. AI is an assist, not a generator. Pick it if you’re X-first and LinkedIn is the side channel.
7. Buffer
Buffer is here because it’s free for three channels and ten scheduled posts each, and sometimes that’s all someone needs. Paid is $6 per channel per month, which gets expensive quickly once you’re past five or six accounts (that’s the trade-off SchedPilot’s flat pricing is designed to avoid). Analytics are basic. The AI assistant is basic. But it’s been around since 2010 and it works.
How I’d decide
If you post anywhere other than LinkedIn, SchedPilot at $35 or Buffer for free. If you’re LinkedIn-only and want AI, Supergrow at $19. If you’re LinkedIn-only and write your own stuff, AuthoredUp. If you have $99 a month and want a coach bundled in, Kleo.
And if you need Taplio’s lead database specifically, honestly, stay on Taplio Pro. Nothing here replaces that, and pretending otherwise would be a waste of your time.
