Publer Review 2026: Good Scheduler, but Check Which Plan You Need

A Publer review built from its own plan documentation: what the Free, Professional and Business plans include in October 2026, how the per-account pricing adds up, and who should pick something else.

Publer’s headline price is $5 a month, and that number is real. It buys the Professional plan for one social account and one user. The features most reviews praise, though, such as post recycling, best times to post, analytics reports and hashtag suggestions, all sit on the Business plan, which starts at $10 for that same single account.

That gap is the most useful thing to understand before you sign up, so this review is organised around it. Plan details come from Publer’s own plans page and help centre, checked in October 2026. Where Publer doesn’t publish a number, I say so instead of guessing.

What Publer is

Publer is a social media scheduler with a content calendar, a post composer, bulk upload, team approvals and analytics. Its help centre has connection guides for twelve networks: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Google Business Profile, Threads, Bluesky, Mastodon and Telegram. WordPress is supported as a publishing destination too.

The breadth is the selling point. Plenty of schedulers cover the big six and stop, and the list of schedulers that handle Threads and Bluesky is still short. If part of your audience has moved to Bluesky or lives in a Telegram channel, Publer lets you post there from the same queue.

Features worth knowing about

Composing and scheduling

You write a post once and adjust the caption per network, with a preview of how each version will look. Posts can go out immediately, at a set time, or into recurring time slots you define per account. Paid plans add scheduled first comments and threads, which matters on Instagram and LinkedIn if you keep links and hashtags out of the main caption. There is a Canva integration, an AI assistant for drafting captions, a browser extension and a mobile app.

Bulk scheduling is the part I’d single out. You can load a CSV file of posts and schedule the lot in one pass, which is how anyone managing a month of content for several clients should be working anyway.

One limitation hides in the help centre. You can’t select more than one WordPress, Pinterest, X, YouTube or TikTok account for the same post. If you run three TikTok accounts and want the same video on each, you’ll create it three times, which is worth knowing if you’re comparing TikTok schedulers.

Workspaces and teams

Workspaces separate one brand’s accounts, calendar and media from another’s. Agencies should care about this more than any other feature, because it is what stops a post for the dentist going out on the pizza restaurant’s page. Workspaces are unlimited on paid plans. Members can be added with approval steps, so a junior writes and a manager signs off before anything publishes.

Recycling, analytics and the rest of Business

Recycling reposts evergreen content on a schedule, and Publer’s version uses spintax so each repeat can vary its wording. Analytics covers post and account performance, competitor comparison and exportable reports. If reporting is your main need, compare it against a dedicated social media analytics tool first. Publer also suggests posting times based on your own data. Every item in this paragraph requires the Business plan.

Business also includes access to the Publer API and an MCP server, which lets an AI assistant create and schedule posts in your account. A year ago that would have been a curiosity. Now it is a fair reason to choose one scheduler over another, and I keep a running list of social media tools with MCP servers and a separate comparison of scheduling APIs for developers.

Explore and RSS

Professional and above get a feed of trending posts and news to share from, plus unlimited RSS automations that turn new articles from a feed into queued posts. Useful if curation is part of your strategy. Skippable if you only post your own material.

What each plan includes

  Free Professional Business
Starting price $0 $5/month $10/month
Social accounts 3 1 included, pay per extra 1 included, pay per extra
X (Twitter) No Yes Yes
Scheduled posts 10 per account Unlimited Unlimited
Post history 24 hours Kept permanently Kept permanently
Workspaces 1 Unlimited Unlimited
First comments and threads No Yes Yes
Recycling, best times, hashtag suggestions No No Yes
Analytics reports and competitor analysis No No Yes
API and MCP No No Yes
Free trial n/a 7 days 14 days

The free plan is better than its reputation in one respect and worse in another. The cap of 10 scheduled posts applies per account and a slot reopens as soon as a post publishes, so a person posting daily to three accounts can run on it indefinitely. But post history lasts only 24 hours, drafts stop at 25, and X can’t be connected at all.

How the pricing adds up

Publer charges per social account and per additional team member. The $5 and $10 starting prices cover one account and one user. Each profile counts separately, so two Facebook pages and two Instagram accounts are four accounts. Every tenth account is free, and so is every tenth member.

Here is the part I can’t pin down for you. Publer sets the price of extra accounts with a slider on its plans page and doesn’t state a per-account rate in its documentation. Third-party pricing pages from this year put three accounts at around $12 a month on Professional and $21 on Business, and ten accounts at about $36 and $63. Treat those as estimates and move the slider yourself before budgeting. Publer’s own pages also disagree on the yearly discount: the plans page says two months free, the help centre says 20%.

The model favours small setups. A consultant with four accounts pays very little. An agency with 40 accounts and six staff should work out the total first, because per-account pricing that looks trivial at the start grows in a straight line.

Publer also enforces daily post limits per account as an anti-spam measure. Its help article doesn’t list the figures, and only the Enterprise plan advertises unlimited daily posting. High-volume publishers such as news sites should ask support for the numbers before committing.

Pros

  • Twelve social networks plus WordPress, including Bluesky, Threads, Mastodon and Telegram
  • Low entry price for one or two accounts
  • Unlimited workspaces on paid plans
  • CSV bulk scheduling
  • API and MCP access on Business, without needing an enterprise contract
  • Trials of paid features without a credit card

Cons

  • Recycling, best times, hashtag suggestions and analytics reports are Business-only
  • No X on the free plan, and only 24 hours of post history
  • Per-account pricing isn’t published as a simple rate
  • One account per post for TikTok, YouTube, X, Pinterest and WordPress
  • Daily post limits exist but the numbers aren’t documented

Alternatives

Buffer is the closest comparison. Its free plan has the same shape as Publer’s, with three channels and 10 scheduled posts per channel, and its paid plans are listed at $5 per channel for Essentials and $10 per channel for Team. The difference is in how teams are charged: Buffer’s Team plan includes unlimited members, where Publer bills for each one. A five-person team with a handful of accounts should price both. If neither fits, there are more options in my list of Buffer alternatives.

SocialBee is worth a look if recycling is the main thing you want, since its whole approach is built around content categories that repeat on a schedule. And if you manage dozens of accounts, a flat-rate tool will usually come out cheaper than anything priced per profile. The SocialPilot alternatives roundup covers several tools aimed at agencies.

Verdict

Publer is a good scheduler and, for a small number of accounts, a cheap one. My advice is to ignore the Professional plan unless plain scheduling is all you need. Most people who read a feature list and get excited are describing Business, so start the 14-day Business trial, set the slider to your real account count, and decide on that number.

Pick something else if you run a large agency on a tight margin, or if you publish at a volume where undocumented daily limits would worry you.
