Best Time to Post on Instagram in the UAE (2026)

The best time to post on Instagram in the UAE and Dubai is Wednesday at 12 pm or 6 pm GST and Thursday at 9 am GST, with later evenings and a different rhythm in Ramadan.

The best time to post on Instagram in the UAE is Wednesday at 12 pm or 6 pm Gulf Standard Time, and Thursday at 9 am GST. That applies equally to Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. On Monday and Tuesday, post in the evening, and go later than you would in Europe: 8 pm to 10 pm suits the UAE best. Saturday is the weakest day. In Ramadan, post after iftar, from about 9 pm to midnight.

The UAE is on UTC+4 all year with no daylight saving.

What’s measured and what’s adjusted

The core of the table is Buffer’s 2026 analysis of 9.6 million Instagram posts, which was normalised to local time and found Thursday 9 am, Wednesday 12 pm and Wednesday 6 pm to be the top three slots of the week, with 6 pm to 11 pm strongest on other weekdays. Sprout Social’s study of nearly 2 billion engagements and Hootsuite’s of more than a million posts across 118 countries agree on the midweek, afternoon-to-evening pattern.

Nobody has published a big UAE-only dataset. So the later evening times and the Friday row in my table are adjustments based on how the country runs. Test them.

The UAE week isn’t quite the Western week

Since January 2022 the official weekend has been Saturday and Sunday, with a half day on Friday for the federal government and many companies. Sharjah takes all of Friday off. That makes Friday a hybrid: a working morning, prayers around midday, then a free afternoon. Global studies, built mostly on Western audiences with a full working Friday, call it a weak day. Here I’d expect Friday from 3 pm to be better than the average suggests, because a lot of people are already off. It’s worth one test post a week.

Evenings start and end late. People go out after 8 pm, malls are busy at 10 pm, and in summer nobody is outdoors before sunset anyway. For Reels I’d begin at 8:30 pm and test as late as 11 pm. From June to September, when it’s 45°C outside and much of the population is indoors all day, daytime engagement holds up better than in cooler months. Many residents also leave the country for weeks in July and August, so a summer dip in reach may simply be holidays.

Ramadan

Working hours are shortened by law during Ramadan, and the day turns upside down. Afternoons are quiet, the hour around iftar is offline, and then the country stays up. Engagement runs from about 9 pm past midnight, with suhoor gatherings going on until 2 am or later. Move your whole schedule three hours later for the month. Eid is a multi-day public holiday and behaves like a long weekend.

An audience from everywhere

Close to nine in ten UAE residents are expatriates, with the largest groups from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and the Philippines, plus big Arab, British and European communities. They’re all living on Gulf time, so for a business serving UAE residents the table applies as it stands, whatever their passport.

It gets interesting if you also want to reach people back home. A post at 8 pm GST lands at 7 pm in Riyadh, 9 pm in Karachi, 9:30 pm in Mumbai and 5 pm in London (4 pm in winter). That’s one slot covering the Gulf, South Asia and the UK in their afternoon or evening. Manila is the exception at midnight. There are separate guides for India, the Philippines and the UK.

If you post in both Arabic and English, I wouldn’t split the schedule by language. I’d split it by content: family and lifestyle posts later in the evening, business and property content on Wednesday at noon and Thursday morning when people are at their desks.

Check it against your followers

In the Instagram app, open the professional dashboard, tap your follower total and scroll to the active-times chart. The same screen lists top countries, which matters a lot in a market this international. Instagram’s Adam Mosseri says to post 30 to 60 minutes before your audience peaks. Post three to five times a week, compare reach by hour in an Instagram analytics tool after a month, and let a scheduler publish the 11 pm Ramadan posts for you.
